Reaper's Playground and a Ticket Out (2/7)

[Midna]

The thing's voice sent chills through her, and she froze when she saw it. Oh god, they had to fight that?! Fear went through her, but she replaced it with determination.

When it tried to attack her, she let out a shriek as she jumped away at the last moment. It didn't activate her pin. Instead, her instincts activated and she drove her fist forward, aiming to punch the thing, hard. She didn't care where as long as it got that creep away from her.

[Max]

Z immediately began to attack, gripping his pin in his fist. An ice pillar erupted from the ground and hit the game master in the leg. He wasn't sure he could do many more with S jumping as much as it did. He turned to his partner "Ves, scream, do something! My pin won't do much damage!"

[Snow]

When the fist came at it, it didn't even bother to dodge. It caught the fist in it's mouth and crunched down as hard as it could, piercing the flesh and maybe crushing a few bones. It manage to get its victim poisoned before a pillar of ice forced it to let go as it was thrown. S would have delighted in ripping off that hand, though... The best part about its poison was that its entry was followed by burning pain.

Vinyl came at it again, just as it lunged for Z. The cat slammed into the Game Master's head, almost knocking the feral thing down. But S, trained in staying on its feet, twisted onto its right hand and sprung back to its feet, growling at the cat. Vinyl dodged the venom that was spat his way and crouched, ready to attack again if S tried to hit Z.

But S, not learning, lunged for Z again. Vinyl, caught off-guard by that, hesitated a moment too late to knock S off-course. Vinyl could only hope that Z got out of the way of its fangs.

[Midna]

Vex stared down at her hand, eyes wide. It was bleeding, and her fingers probably weren't supposed to be dangling like that. What had it done to her? Her hand...

Then the pain came. Vex clutched her hand and screamed bloody murder as her hand caught fire, or it felt like it did at least. She felt somewhat dizzy. Her scream had created a massive shockwave though, being strong enough to activate her pin without her even touching it.

[Max]

Z immediattly freaked out as he heard the blood curtiling scream that came from his partner. "Vex!" He screamed, shoot up another ice pillar at the game master. "God dammit, Vex we need to work together, this isn't going to work if we attack one at a time."

He saw Vinyl attacking and immediately was glad that he kept the noise. It was a good noise, ulike the others. "Vinyl, attack with us!"

[Snow]

The pillar of ice nearly went through the feral thing's abdomen, though it didn't exactly have organs to think about. It just would have hurt. As it was, the ice knocked the game master off course and into the way of the scream, which made it hit a wall. Wincing and snarling, it got up, swinging its fist into the Noise's rib cage when it leaped at him. Vinyl hit the ground and didn't move, though he was still breathing. Just too winded to get up.

"It can't hurt me, stupid boy!" the Game Master taunted, battered and weakened but not yet dead. "He's not a fighting Noise! The girl can't help you, because of my pain poison! You're alone!"

Just like me, whispered the nonverbal ending to S's sentence. It leaped for the boy, intending for its teeth to poison him as well. Its fangs were already glimmering with poison. And at the last second, the feral Game Master sprang away and spat its acidic venom at the boy, a venom that could poison him and melt his flesh at the same time.

Poison that was nearly impossible to come back from.

[Midna]

Vex heard Z as if through water. It was hard to focus on his voice. But she heard it. Fine, then. The monster would pay for what it had done to her. "Okay," she gasped, and took a step forward. "Not alone." Her eyes narrowed, and she bared her teeth.

She screamed. This one was different though. Pain mixed with fury, and the scream was defiant as she roared out all of her emotions from the past week. What it caused was one continuous shockwave that made her throat burn. It should have thrown the game monster or stunned him or done something to help Z make an attack.

The shockwave lasted for about 10-15 seconds. Hopefully it had been enough time for Z to attack. All of the fight had gone out of Vex and she sank to the ground, curled up into a ball as the poison made more and more of her burn.

[Max]

Z couldn't even understand the creature. Especially since he couldn't hear what so ever and the mouth was of a different shape. Z continued to watch and yelles out as his pet is hit hard. He runs around the back of the creature, waiting for his partner to attack.

Z saw the scream and used S as a shield. He then jumped up high and pressed his pin, throwing the game master into the air.

[Snow]

The shockwave hit the feral Game Master hard, its eyes widening. Thrown up into the air by ice, S twisted to land on its feet. But what really killed it was Vinyl. Vinyl, recovered, leaped for the Game Master and made the thing lose its balance, landing on its back instead. Vinyl landed lightly and smugly, watching the Game Master with pity in his eyes and a patronizing look to his face.

S felt its poison fade from the girl, its own breaths harsh and stuttering. "Why?" it ground out, staring up at the sky with mild curiosity. Its vision was beginning to flicker. "Why are you two so... in sync...? What do you have... that I don't...?" A harsh sound, something like a chuckle, escaping its broken body. "Ah... I get it now..." look to Z, it whispered, "Stay safe, okay? Don't let... all this... go to waste..."

And S sighed one last time, a soft little noise, and a peaceful smile came over its face before it flickered from existence, fading into static and then into nothing at all.

[Midna]

The pain faded slowly, and Vex sat up just after S was erased. "Did we do it? Is it over?" she asked quietly. Looking down at her hand, she saw that it was fixed, still covered in her blood but no longer bleeding or broken.

She looked up at Z after that, waiting for an answer. He seemed ok.

[Max]

Z sighed, breathing hard and leaning over. He couldnt't see Vex's mouth but he heard it this time. "Yes... yes we did..." He sighed once again, happily this time "It was good to meet you Vex. I say that we meet up at the Tin Booth at the asument park when we wake up. Okay?"

He smiled his lopsided smile. "It was good to meet you."
