Callie ran back and away, just far enough to escape most of the flames. But they were hot. They barely missed her, but finally they died away and she turned back, meeting the bleeding Blayze. He needed a healing, and she would have pressed her healing pin into his arm if he hadn't grabbed her hand.

She heard his order, and nodded. It was time. Their first attack as a true team, and hopefully their last. Summoning up as much strength as she could, and letting all of her frustration fuel her, she attacked. Somehow, she knew how.

She squeezed Blayze's hand and yelled, "Time to DIE!" And meteors started to fall from the sky. Lots of meteors that burned with red hot flame. The perfect mix of their strongest powers.

M turned around and ran, trying to dodge the meteors. To no avail, the attack knocked him down on the ground, leaving him to cough up blood. He gripped his stomach grumbling as he fell down, trying to get one more attack in. M fell to the ground, slowly blinking as he looked at the players. "Good job…" He paused, coughing up more blood and spiting it on the ground "You did what I never could. Mission complete."

Then, he breathed his last breath.

Blayze breathed heavily, the army situation falling away. "...We did it," he said numbly. "I think... I think I might become a Reaper, Callie. What about you?"

[Midna]

Callie watched as M fizzled from existence, the power fading away. They'd done it. They'd survived a week. And something had changed. Her eyes widened as a block broke in her mind, and tears began to trickle down her face. "I... I remember..." Lissa and Madeline. How could she have forgotten them? Lissa was the sweetest and most amazing person Callie had ever wanted as family, and as close to Callie as a sister even though they were cousins. And Madeline... Callie smiled. They hadn't parted on the best of terms, but Callie would make up for it. She just hoped her dear girlfriend had forgiven her for missing their meeting.

"Alive. I'm going back. My family's there. But you have to visit me, okay? Keep in touch." On impulse, she took a couple of steps forward and pulled him into a tight hug. "I'll miss you, partner. Thank you."

Blayze smiled sadly. "Yeah, I'll keep in touch. I promise." Besides, he still needed to date the cutie, Lycaon.

[Midna]

She pulled back, smiling. "Good." Time for goodbye then. Standing up straight, she grinned and said, "See you around, General Shrike." The girl was already glowing as she started to return to life.

Blayze paused for a moment, and then he grinned and saluted her, "See you around... Colonel Callie."
