also known as "Shrike"
Male
Twenty-nine

Appearance
Blayze is a normal-sized guy, 5'3". His skin is very pale, though he doesn't sunburn easily. With hair stained dark red from the bloodshed that never washed out, his eyes match perfectly; a dark, tortured red that gleam with the thousand horrors of war.
Blayze is never seen without his army jacket, though he took the badges off. His army jacket is somewhat darker colored now than when he first got it, though it's still a vibrant green with no hint of the blood that had once stained it. His jeans are casual enough, a dark, dark faded black color that may have once been blue but is now so blood-stained that the blue no longer shows.
He is almost never seen without his trademark grin, a grin that perpetuates with fear and determination. When he's having one of his "episodes", his grin becomes much wider and much more dangerous. When you see his grin get wider, you run.

Personality
Blayze is a kind soul, despite the PTSD he has from the Iraq War. He knows to show mercy when the time calls for it. However, he is very paranoid and will often stay awake a night holding his gun, cocked and loaded, pointed towards the door.
He is not afraid to kill, having seen far too much bloodshed for someone so young. This young ex-army veteran is often convinced that everyone is out to get him, and for that reason trusts only a select amount of people. The poor lad is very quick to anger and prone to violence nowadays, afraid that he'll lose the battle- and his life.
Blayze's greatest strength is his physical prowess. He's very fit and can take down grizzly bears with his bare hands. (He's done it before out of paranoia.) His worst weakness is that he can never tell when he's about to go into one of his PTSD episodes. He takes out allies that way, not knowing who he's attacking.

Background
Blayze was a very sickly child when he was first born. He got ill very easily and was never very strong. Couple that with the fact that he cried far too easily over everything, and you had a child who didn't have any friends.
Bullied, he began to make a reputation for himself. He called himself Shrike, after the bird that impales its dead prey on sticks as a warning, and became a person that his classmates feared. He was not above attacking those who made him angry, and this caught the attention of several authority figures. When his violence nearly killed another student, he was put in therapy.
He learned about mercy from his therapist, and when he was finally taken out of therapy he was a new person. He was no longer feared but respected, standing up for those who couldn't do it themselves and fighting back only when necessary. He learned to take a few punches and he learned how to scream loud enough to catch everyone's attention within a 30 ft radius.
His father taught him how to shoot a gun and how to set traps when he was 10, and he enjoyed hunting for small game such as rabbits and squirrels. He caught a deer in his trap once, but he let the poor animal go because it was young and a doe. His father had always taught him not to hit girls, and he applied that lesson to every female, human or not.
At the age of 15, talk of war was going on. Blayze, now under the proud title of Shrike, vowed that he would fight for his country. His father was going to apply as well, but he died of cancer before the war started.
Blayze promised his father that he would fight extra hard, just for his father.
Age 17 and Blayze convinced his mother to let him sign up for the army. He was sent to Iraq, where he thought fighting would be easy like hunting a squirrel. He was wrong. He was so, so wrong.
The Iraq soldiers captured Blayze during a battle towards the end of the war and tortured him. He was in their hands, tortured for information, for three weeks. While he never cracked under the pain and torment, Blayze's mind snapped. He went crazy,
It was his screams that brought his troops to the base where he was being held and tortured. Learning how to scream loud enough to catch every teacher's attention back when he was in school had paid off in the end. He was rescued and sent home after the war was over.
The scars never faded.
Now home, the PTSD set in. He would calmly be eating dinner with his family when he would suddenly snap, screaming that he was going to kill his enemy, hands going for the throat of his younger sister or his mother. He would sit up at night with his gun cocked and loaded, pointed towards the door.
His mother passed away when he was 27, and his younger sister moved out for fear of being shot by her own brother. Blayze eventually move dout of the house as well, convinced that he was going to be ambushed. Even as he moved, the feeling did not go away. Sometimes he could ignore it, and he would tell the local children stories about the War.
Other times, he would snap and lock himself in his home, convinced that he was going to be killed if he let his guard down.
Blayze died when he was convinced he was being attacked and shot his gun. The bullet ricocheted off of the stairwell and went through his heart, killing very suddenly.
And Blayze has been given a second chance at life.
After completing the game with a girl named Callie, Blayze became a Reaper and quickly ascended to the position of Composer. He's very powerful and also very biased towards a certain blue-haired boy.
